Adult Medical Day Care Center is looking for a driver to join our dynamic team. The driver will transport seniors and those with disabilities to and from the center each morning and afternoon in a 12 passenger handicap accessible bus. SPLIT SHIFT 7:15-10am and 2:15-5:30pm (end times will vary). Additional hours may be available mid-day but are not guaranteed.
Driver must be patient and kind, have a clean driving record (no points), be drug-free, be able to bend and lift and be 23 or older. The position does not require a CDL, but the driver must pass a DOT physical and drug test. Great job for a retiree.
Responsibilities and Duties
Pre and Post trip vehicle inspections
Safe transportation between clients homes and center
Escort clients to and from bus to door of the home
Occasional transportation to medical appointments, field trips
Shuttle of buses for repair needs
Maintain a clean vehicle
Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma
Clean driving record (no points)
Clean drug test
Pass DOT physical
Willing to become CPR and First Aid certified
Comfort driving a 12 passenger vehicle with a wheelchair lift
Comfort working with seniors with physical and memory challenges
Benefits
The position is part-time unless the driver consistently works more than 30 hours/week. Health, dental and vacation time would be included if full time. Part-time benefits as per Maryland employment law.
